The ferry runs continuously and departs each side approximately every 10 minutes.

What are your hours?

7:30am – 7:30pm: continuous service
8.30pm – 10:30pm: continuous service

Can I take a dog?

Yes

Can you book a ferry for outside ferry hours?

Late ferries can be requested by calling 07 866 3462 (minimum 24 hrs notice).

Do you run on Christmas Day?

Yes.

Where can I buy my tickets from?

Tickets are purchased on the ferry.

Do you ferry cars?

No, the Whitianga ferry is a passenger and bicycle service (no cars).

Can the ferry take wheelchairs?

Yes, the main ferry is wheelchair accessible and this ferry is used most of the time. Please contact us if you know the day you are planning on crossing using a wheelchair and we will confirm the main ferry is in service for that day.
